ARRESTDetails MapOn September 05, 2024, at approximately 0416 hours, Officers with the Pocono Township Police Department were patrolling on SR 0611 when a black in color Jeep bearing a New Jersey Registration was observed to be stopped partially in the roadway. Officers made contact with 39-year-old Fahad Rouf of Lyndhurst, NJ. Rouf was found to be passed out behind the wheel with his foot on the brake. Rouf was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol and was subsequently taken to the Monroe County Correctional Facility for DUI processing.
Charges were filed on Rouf for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and having an expired registration. Rouf is awaiting a preliminary hearing at Magisterial District Judge Daniel Kresge's Office.
