Tonight, Friday, December 6th, 2024 the VFW Post 509 will be hosting an all you can eat Soup Night from 3:30pm-6:30pm. Choices of Soup are as follows: Creamy Turkey w/Rice, Split Pea w/ Ham, Clam Chowder, Onion, Zucchini, and Cream of Potato. Donation of $8.00 gets you the all you can eat special or take out options are available for $4.00 per container or $10.00 per quart. So on this very cold night, come out for some nice hot soup and support a great cause. VFW Post 509 is located at 1917 Goodwin Street in Tobyhanna, PA.

COOLBAUGH TWP., MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A driver has died after police say his car crashed into a box truck due to snow conditions on State Route 611.
On November 22, the Pocono Mountain Regional Police were called to a crash involving a sedan and a box truck.
Police stated one driver, Brian Rambhawan, 36, of Pocono Summit, was traveling south on SR611 when he lost control of his car on the snow-covered roads.
