Polk Township's Board of Supervisors held a special meeting to vote solely on the Effort Solar Conditional Use Application.  

The supervisors voted to deny the application.  The votes were the following:
Yes
Yes
I will go along with it - the chairman

After the meeting, I confirmed with township solicitor that the motion was 3-0 for denying the application and he said yes it was 3-0.

Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG)

There are a wide range of more than 20 activities that are eligible under the CDBG Program. 

Grantees are free to select those activities that best met the needs of their communities. However, in order to ensure that the primary objective of the CDBG Program is met - the benefit to - low and moderate-income persons - grantees must ensure that all activities meet a National Objective:

Maureen Madden, Chair of the House Aging and Older Adult Services Committee, discusses her bill which would create a permanent Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders (ADRD) office and establish an advisory committee, both within the Department of Aging, to better coordinate resources across state agencies to help those living with Alzheimer's and Dementia.

At a House Local Government Committee meeting, Pa. state Rep. Tarah Probst speaks in support of legislation that would give local municipalities more tools and resources to address the impact of large construction projects. Probst voiced her frustration with PennDOT over the local impact of the Interstate 80 construction in her district and supports the additional accountability the bill would add. 

MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Officials state there are road closures on I-80 after a tractor-trailer rollover in Stroud Township.

According to the Monroe County Communication Center, a tractor-trailer rollover was called in around 7:30 p.m.

Officials say both Interstate 80 East and West are closed between mile markers 304-308.
