The Tannersville Cranberry Bog Preserve is an ecosystem unlike any other in NEPA. This preserve, which is owned by The Nature Conservancy, was once home to a large glacial lake. Over thousands of years, the lake transformed into the southernmost low-elevation boreal bog on the eastern seaboard. The bog is home to diverse plant life, including native orchids, carnivorous plants, and several endangered species.
