I am Elizabeth Casciano, the listing agent for the Grace United Church Property and abutting Cemetery on both sides of Sullivan Trail. The living church members are selling the church and cemetery for the SOLE PURPOSE OF RAISING MONEY TO TAKE PERPETUAL CARE OF THE CEMETERY. EVERY DIME OF THE PROCEEDS WILL BE PLACED IN A TRUST MAINTAINED BY THE TANNERSVILLE UNION CEMETERY COMMITTEE, AND THEY WILL BE SOLEY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CARE AND FUTURE PRESERVATION OF THE CEMETERY PROPERTY. IF THE CHURCH IS NOT SOLD AND SOON... IT WILL FALL DOWN.

In recent weeks, several Pennsylvania counties have announced investigations into large numbers of fraudulent voter registration forms. One of those counties is Monroe County in Northeast Pennsylvania. Now Monroe County has given out the name of the company behind fraudulent forms submitted there.

Public Meeting on Warehouse, Solar, Stormwater Ordinances (Tunkannock)

Tunkhannock Township Supervisors will hold a public meeting to discuss and vote on three proposed ordinances:

  1. Zoning Amendment - Regarding regulations for warehouses (Ord 2024-05)
  2. Stormwater Maintenance - Ordinance related to stormwater requirements (Ord 2024-04)
  3. Solar Farms - Proposal to remove commercial solar from designated open spaces (Ord 2024-03)

Concerns over election integrity continue to rise in Monroe County amid reports of potential misuse of ballot drop boxes during the absentee and mail-in voting period. Observations made on October 15 and October 22 at the Monroe County Administration Office’s ballot box reveal multiple instances where voters allegedly submitted more than one ballot, possibly violating Pennsylvania’s election laws, which mandate that voters submit only their own ballot unless legally authorized otherwise.

Cresco, PA – A reward of $5,000 is being offered for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for trespassing on private property and opening an enclosure, releasing a group of rescued cats. This incident occurred on Bush Road in Cresco, where the cats, previously under care, were left exposed to life-threatening conditions.
