DELAWARE RIVER JOINT TOLL BRIDGE COMMISSION ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, YARDLEY, PA 19067 CONTRACT NO. TS-642A, CAPITAL PROJECT 1321A UHLERSTOWN-FRENCHTOWN TOLL-SUPPORTED BRIDGE REHABILITATION NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS October 22, 2024 Bids for Contract No. TS-642A, Capital Project 1321A, Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Toll-Supported Bridge Rehabilitation will be received by the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission (COMMISSION) through the online service Bid Express (www.bidexpress.com) until 2:00 PM(Local Time) Tuesday, November 26, 2024. At that time, all bids submitted through Bid Express will be downloaded and publicly read online. No paper bids will be accepted. The Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Toll-Supported Bridge (UFTSB) connects Uhlerstown, Tinicum Township, PA to the Borough of Frenchtown, NJ over the Delaware River. The bridge consists of a six-span steel, Warren truss (approximately 156’-0” spans), with a total length of 950 feet. The bridge carries two lanes of traffic with a clear roadway width of 16’-6” between guiderails. The rehabilitation work includes: Cleaning and painting the bridge with a 3-coat organic zinc paint system; replacing existing concrete filled steel grid sidewalk with FRP panels; replacing concrete sidewalk panels; milling and paving; replace lighting fixtures; installing architectural lighting; upgrading the electrical service, including a new generator, panels, junction boxes, conduit, and wiring; installing fiber lines, procurement of new cameras, control boxes, and networking equipment; performing steel repairs; replacing corroded rivets and bolts; replacing truss expansion bearings with disc bearings; performing repairs to select stringer bearings; Repairing/Repointing deteriorated masonry/masonry joints; reconstructing a portion of a masonry wingwall; concrete repairs; replacing neoprene strip seal at the abutments; replacing aluminum pedestrian railing; replacing thrie beam bridge rail with a welded HSS post and rail system. Beginning Tuesday, October 22, 2024, the contract documents may be obtained online from Bid Express via a link on the Commission’s website (www.drjtbc.org) in the “Doing Business” section, under “Notice to Contractors”. A virtual pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. Bidders are encouraged to have an officer or an authorized representative of their company in attendance. Contractors interested in attending the virtual pre-bid conference must contact Michael McCandless, Program Manager - Structures, at mmccandless@drjtbc.org, within forty-eight (48) hours in advance to register for the virtual conference.
