SARPD 25TH ANNIVERSARY On May 1, 2000, a significant milestone was achieved in the history of law enforcement in the region. The boroughs of East Stroudsburg and Stroudsburg, along with the township of Stroud, officially merged their police departments to form the Stroud Area Regional Police Department.
This merger has enabled the area to benefit from a wider range of services and capabilities, thanks to the various units and resources at the department's disposal. Over the past 25 years, the region has undergone significant changes, including a growing population, the arrival and departure of businesses, and continued growth in the Pocono area.
Throughout these changes, the Stroud Area Regional Police Department has remained committed to serving and protecting the community. As we celebrate this milestone, we reflect on our accomplishments and look forward to continuing to provide exceptional service to our residents and visitors.
As we mark this significant milestone, the Stroud Area Regional Police Department would like to express its deepest gratitude to the community for their unwavering support. We are proud to have had the opportunity to serve this community with integrity and respect over the past 25 years.
