Multiple counties in NEPA to be under Red Flag warning

EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU)— Multiple counties across Northeastern Pennsylvania under a Red Flag Warning which means warm temperatures, low humidity, and strong winds expected to combine to produce an increased risk of fire danger.  

The National Weather Service has issued the warning starting at 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for Carbon, Columbia, Lehigh, Monroe, Montour, Northumberland, Schuylkill, Snyder, and Union counties.

DCNR sets burn ban across Pennsylvania

A fire watch means that weather conditions that could cause a brush fire are forecast to occur due to strong winds, low humidity and dry grounds.
