Pocono Mountain Public Library kicks off Banned Book Week with a Book Club dedicated to George Orwell’s classic dystopian novel, “1984.” In 1984, Big Brother watches your every move and feeds you your every thought. Those who think the wrong thoughts are deemed thought criminals and pay the consequences. How does Orwell dystopian novel of authoritarian mass surveillance compare with the world we live in today?
