NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed proposals will be received by the Paradise Township Board of Supervisors of Monroe County at 5912 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco, PA 18326 until 10:00 AM on Friday, April 4, 2025, for the following:
Item 1 -50 tons (more or less) - 1BW stone (AASHTO #8) FOB or Delivered
Item 2 - 1000 tons (more or less) - 2A modified FOB or Delivered
Item 3 - 50 tons (more or less) - 2B stone (AASHTO #57)FOB or Delivered
Item 4 - 1000 tons (more or less) - 2RC stone FOB or Delivered
Item 5 - 500 tons (more or less) - #4 Ballast stone (AASHTO #1) FOB or Delivered
Item 6 - 100 tons (more or less) - Rip-rap stone (AASHTO R-4) FOB or Delivered
Item 7 - 1200 tons (more or less)*Anti Skid (3A) FOB or Delivered
Item 8 - 100 tons (more or less) - ID-2 Top 9.5 mm wearing FOB ONLY
Item 9 - 75 tons (more or less) - Binder 25 mm binder FOB ONLY
Bid items 1 - 7 must state the price delivered as well as the FOB supplier's plant.
Bid items 8 - 9 must be FOB only.
All bids must be placed in a sealed envelope plainly marked with the type of bid or bids contained therein. The successful bidder will be required to enter into a written contract and to furnish a performance bond with suitable, reasonable requirements guaranteeing the performance of the contract, with sufficient surety in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the amount of the contract, within twenty (20) days after the contract is awarded. Upon failure to furnish such bonds at such time, the previous award shall be void. Successful bidders will also be required to furnish insurance certificates of liability and workers' compensation. All bids will be opened and read at 10:01 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the Paradise Township Municipal Building by a committee appointed by the Board of Supervisors. It is anticipated that the bids will be awarded at the Board of Supervisors meeting on Monday, April 7, 2025, at approximately 6:10 p.m. at the Paradise Township Municipal Building.
All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to Paradise Township. In the event the successful bidder fails or refuses to enter into a written contract within twenty (20) days after the contract is awarded, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Township.
All proposals must be submitted on the forms furnished by the Township, which can be obtained from the Township Office. The Paradise Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Further, the Paradise Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to accept bids on a line item basis for each type of material, and to reject any bid on material not found to be acceptable by the Roadmaster. All materials must comply with PennDOT Pub. 408.
