On September 2nd, 2024, at approximately 02:34 p.m., officers of the Pocono Township Police Department were contacted by the victim of a cell phone theft. The victim advised that the phone was last seen at the Converse store in the Crossings Premium Outlets the day before. The subsequent investigation found the phone to be plotting at the home of Tyreck Stranchan, of Henryville. Tyreck, an employee at the Crossings, denied possessing the phone and denied knowing where the phone was. Approximately 24 hours later the phone was shown to plot again near the Old Navy Store in the Crossings. Tyreck was seen on security footage giving the phone to an employee of Old Navy, stating that he found it outside. Officers questioned Tyreck again and he admitted to possessing the phone and handing it in to Old Navy.

Tyreck was charged with theft and receiving stolen property.
