Short term rentals are available in all zoning districts*. However, permits are required. Please see Ordinance 197 for specifications. Please review the application guide and submit your application, required documents and permit fee to Barrett Township. An inspection of the property will then be scheduled. Please see guide and permit application below or visit municipality's website for more details.
*Only exception is if the home is located in a development with an HOA, they may be prohibited by the community by-laws.

Seven East Stroudsburg University students, who took Teaching of Communications during the spring 2023 semester after serving as “buddies” to German preservice teaching students who were on ESU’s campus during the fall 2022 semester, participated in a two-and-a-half-week field experience through the University of Landau-Konblenz in Landau in der Pfalz, Germany.
Sat, May 20, 1-4pm. Stop by the Weiler Family Community Room for an opportunity to chat with several local authors in an informal setting! These talented writers will be available all afternoon to discuss their books and answer your questions. Most will have copies of their books for sale. Our line up of authors includes John Abel, John Cafarella, Danny Marvin, Suzanne McCool, Mary Anne Moore, and Jackie & Darryl Speicher.

The Monroe County Board of Commissioners will hold a public auction on Friday, May 21, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. at Auto in Motion, 1142 Route 390, Cresco, PA for the purpose of selling county-owned and confiscated vehicles.
The vehicles will be available for public inspection on that same date from 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at Auto in Motion, located on Route 390 near the intersection with Golf Drive in Barrett Township. All vehicles will be auctioned in “as is” condition with no guarantee as to condition.
