Artist Peter Ambush is featured in the Pocono Arts Council Public Gallery at the Pocono Eye Associates! His solo show consists of paintings and will be on display through the end of March.
Artist Statement:
Peter was born and raised in Frederick, Md., and wanted to be an artist from an early age. He attended the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Md. where he received a bachelor's degree in fine art. He also studied at the duCret School of Art in Plainfield, N.J. under the tutelage of Peter Caras, a former student of Norman Rockwell.
Through the years, he worked in various fields of art such as greeting cards, caricatures, children's books, computer graphics, and portraiture. For more than a decade he worked for the Star-Ledger newspaper in Newark, N.J. as a graphic artist and illustrator, creating over 400 covers for the paper's weekly Scanner TV guide.
I hope I never forget how truly blessed I am to be able to create art. I pray that God keeps blessing me every day with a spirit of excellence and that I will constantly do His will through my art and in my life.
