NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Stroudsburg Borough Council will hold a public hearing to consider the adoption of the following Ordinance during a regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 7:00 P.M. The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers of the Stroudsburg Borough Municipal Building, 700 Sarah Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360 and will be streamed on Zoom.us. The instructions and link for accessing the meeting via Zoom.us will be provided on the Borough website www.stroudsburgboro.com prior to the meeting.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF STROUDSBURG, IN THE COUNTY OF MONROE, COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA, FIXING THE REAL ESTATE TAX RATE FOR THE YEAR 2025
BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the Borough Council of the Borough of Stroudsburg in the County of Monroe, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, that the following tax shall be and the same is hereby levied on all real property within the Borough of Stroudsburg subject to taxation for the fiscal year 2025, at a sum of 11.205 mils as follows:
Tax Rate for the General Fund 8.890 mils
Tax Rate for the Street Fund 0.326 mils
Tax Rate for the Fire Apparatus Fund 0.301 mils
Tax Rate for the Parks/Recreation Fund 1.028 mils
Tax Rate for the Street Lighting Fund 0.180 mils
Tax Rate for the Debt Service Fund 0.477 mils
Any Ordinance, or part of an Ordinance, conflicting with this Ordinance be and the same is hereby repealed insofar as the same affects this Ordinance.
A copy of the full text of the subject Ordinance may be examined by any citizen in the Office of the Stroudsburg Borough Manager located at the Stroudsburg Borough Municipal Building, 700 Sarah Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360 Monday to Friday 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. A copy of same is on file and may be inspected at the Monroe County Law Library, Courthouse, Stroudsburg, PA and in the offices of the Pocono Record.
