ESU Welcomed Secretary, PA Department of Community and Economic Development to Annual Economic Outlook Summit

Rick-Siger Economic Outlook Summit

In collaboration with East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU), business representatives of Monroe, Pike, Wayne, and Carbon Counties met at Kalahari Resorts and Conventions for the 10th annual Economic Outlook Summit on May 19, 2023.

The theme for this year’s Summit was “Celebrating the Economic Transformation of the Poconos.”

The program featured a keynote address by Rick Siger, Secretary, Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. Siger leads the commonwealth’s efforts to grow the economy and build a better future for Pennsylvanians.

The Economic Outlook Summit also featured Ryotaro Tashiro, Senior Outreach Economist, Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and Mike Kingsella, Chief Executive Officer of Up for Growth, a national cross-sector network committed to solving the housing shortage and affordability crisis. Tashiro presented the 2023 Economic Scorecard data and Kingsella addressed Housing Underproduction in the Poconos.
