On Sunday, October 6, 2024, at approximately 7:26 p.m. Stroud Area Regional Police were dispatched to the St. Luke’s Hospital- Monroe, 100 St. Lukes Lane, Stroudsburg in reference to a nurse that was threatened by a male in the parking lot while walking into the hospital to start her shift. The male stated at the time that he was going to return to the hospital and shoot the nurses inside. The male then sped away. The nurse notified security of what occurred, police were called, and the hospital went into lockdown.

After reviewing video security footage, the vehicle was identified as a blue 2015 Subaru WRX with PA/LYN3565, being registered to and driven by Christopher Soares-Gilliam from Tobyhanna.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police were contacted to check the address; however, Soares-Gilliam was not located. Charges were filed and an arrest warrant was issued for Christopher Soares-Gilliam for Terroristic Threats, Harassment, and Disorderly Conduct.

Soares-Gilliam was last known to be operating the above listed vehicle.
