On 9/28/2022 Stroud Area Regional Police were dispatched to the M & T Bank in Stroud Township for a report of a fraud. The bank manager reported that a female identified as Alexis Mcphail had come into the bank on 5/26/2022 and opened a bank account. On 8/29/2022 and 8/30/2022 Mcphail then remotely deposited 2 checks made out to her and within a day or two transferred and withdrew a large portion of what had been deposited prior to the bank realizing the checks were fraudulent on 9/1/2022 and 9/2/2022.

Charges were filed and a felony warrant for arrest was issued for Alexis Nicole Mcphail.
