On November 21, 2024, at approximately 0545 hours, the Pocono Township Police Department was dispatched to a report of a female knocking on doors seeking help in the area of Cherry Lane Road. Upon arrival Officers made contact with the victim in this matter who advised that her husband, Jared Douglas a 35-year-old male from East Stroudsburg, has been verbally abusive towards her. She advised that he took her cellphone and car and threatened to kill her if she left prior to him returning. Upon attempting to make contact with Douglas, it was discovered that he had fled the area and refused to speak with officers via phone.

Charges have been filed on Douglas and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Anyone with information pertaining to the whereabouts of the suspect, Jared Douglas, is asked to contact the Pocono Township Police Department at (570)629-7200 or submit an anonymous tip below.
