On Friday, March 7, 2025, District Attorney Mike Mancuso approved criminal complaints charging Oscar Quilarque Sosa, date of birth 7/17/1993, Oswaldo Odin Solorzano Sosa, date of birth 2/13/1988, and Josthin Landaeta Perez, date of birth 9/3/2000 for the January 12, 2025 murder of Lionardo Hernandez Zarata and the attempted murders of two others. A fourth man, Jesus Oliveros Sosa, is facing charges of Hindering the Apprehension and is in custody in New York.
The charges were brought after an exhaustive investigation by Detective Erika Burk and Detective Corporal Kyle VanNote of the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department.
Oscar Sosa and Josthin Perez are both in custody in New York. Oscar Sosa is also facing federal gun and narcotics charges while Josthin Perez also faces armed robbery charges brought by the NYPD. Oswaldo Sosa remains at large.
