Two women wanted for alleged retail theft at Walmart

EAST STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say they are searching for two women who committed retail theft at Walmart.

According to the Stroud Area Regional Police Department, officers were called to the Walmart in East Stroudsburg for a report of retail theft. 

During the investigation, police say it was learned that two women were working together and tried to leave the store without paying for $151.82 worth of items.

Police say they identified the suspects as Julissa Cano, 24, and Rosalina Sanchez-Cano, 53, after they originally gave officers false identifications. 

Both women were charged with retail theft and providing false identification. 

The suspects did not appear for the court hearing and attempts to reach the two were unsuccessful, resulting in a bench warrant being issued, police said.
