Two people are dead after a shooting incident Tuesday night in Monroe County.
Pocono Township police said a man and a woman died about 6:30 p.m. in a home on Ski Side Drive.
Officers were called to that home around that time for a report of a domestic incident with a firearm involving a boyfriend and girlfriend, according to a police department news release. When officers got to the home, they found both suffering from gunshot wounds.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and the woman was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, where she died from her injuries.
Police said there is no threat to the public, and the investigation is ongoing. Additional information was not immediately available Wednesday morning.
