EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — Amid a weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service, thousands of residents in Monroe County and beyond are without power.
As of about 11:15 p.m., FirstEnergy Storm Center PA is reporting almost 3,000 customers are experiencing power outages within our coverage area with about 1,500 customers without power from Monroe County.
Meanwhile, PPL is reporting a total of over 8,600 of their customers in our coverage area are without power with almost 3,500 of that number being from Monroe County.
Gas leak shuts down section of OlyphantAccording to FirstEnergy Storm Center PA and PPL, the total of customers in our viewing area without power reached almost 28,000.
