Teen allegedly forced to use drugs leads to marijuana plants seized

CHESTNUT HILL TWP., MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police report multiple marijuana plants were seized from a home after two men allegedly forced a teen to take THC edibles.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, on October 14 troopers were called to St. Luke's Hospital for a 16-year-old who had been forced to consume THC edibles and was suffering a medical emergency.

The victim told investigators that two men pressured her to consume the edibles. Troopers identified the suspects as James Moore, 63, and John Moore, 54, from Effort.

After a search warrant was issued for the suspect's residence troopers said they seized multiple marijuana plants that were being grown inside the home.

Charges of corruption of minors, recklessly endangering another person, and endangering the welfare of a child have been filed.
