EAST STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — It's the time of year for students to return to local colleges and universities.
East Stroudsburg University in Monroe County held its move-in day.
Current students and faculty were on hand to help with moving in. An ESU alum helped her niece move into her dorm for her freshman year.
Construction continues at the University of Scranton"It's very special for me because I'm a proud ESU graduate, class 2004 and so now my niece is coming in as a freshman and I'm considered legacy family so I'm totally stoked about this," said an ESU alum.
"I'm super excited, I've been looking forward to this day for like months and now I'm super excited. Go warriors!" added Bella Smith a freshman.
More than one thousand new and transfer students are expected to arrive today and into the weekend.
