STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— St. Patrick's Day was Monday, but we have one more parade to look forward to this weekend.
Sunday will be the 46th St. Patrick's Parade in the Poconos.
There will be 135 floats this year, bigger than previous years.
First day of spring means free Italian ice!The parade starts at Stroudsburg High School at 1:15 p.m. and goes over the interborough bridge and ends at East Stroudsburg Municipal Building.
"It's gonna be amazing. It's gonna be an epic day. We're expecting 10 to 20,000 people. The weather's gonna hold out should be fantastic and we're just super proud and ready to go," stated Brian Gallagher, Parade Chair, Pocono Irish American Club.
This year's parade marshal, Paula Fitzpatrick, is a former president of the PIAC and a native of Ireland.
