STROUD TOWNSHIP, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Good news for people living in Stroud Township: They will not see a tax increase for 2025.
The Stroud Township Board of Supervisors held a meeting Monday in Monroe County to approve its annual budget and officially swear in the new township manager.
The chairwoman with the Stroud Township Board of Supervisors says they have a bit of a financial cushion so they are not rushing to find new sources of revenue.
Monroe County Transit Authority increases fare"We are not clamoring to try to find funds, but yet we have this cushion and so I think by their efforts we are now in this position going forward at least for the next few years where we're in a good place where we can keep our resident's taxes at the lowest we possibly can," said Stroud Township Board of Supervisors Chairwoman Jennifer Shukaitis.
This is the 13th year in a row that Stroud Township has not initiated a tax increase.
