STROUD TOWNSHIP, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Good news for people living in Stroud Township: They will not see a tax increase for 2025.

The Stroud Township Board of Supervisors held a meeting Monday in Monroe County to approve its annual budget and officially swear in the new township manager.

The chairwoman with the Stroud Township Board of Supervisors says they have a bit of a financial cushion so they are not rushing to find new sources of revenue.

"We are not clamoring to try to find funds, but yet we have this cushion and so I think by their efforts we are now in this position going forward at least for the next few years where we're in a good place where we can keep our resident's taxes at the lowest we possibly can," said Stroud Township Board of Supervisors Chairwoman Jennifer Shukaitis.

This is the 13th year in a row that Stroud Township has not initiated a tax increase.
