Road work on Route 611 coming to Monroe County

DELAWARE WATER GAP, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Work on Route 611 will begin Wednesday, Representative Matt Cartwright announced.

This comes after PennDOT's plans were approved by the National Park Service.

Part of the plan will be to install a temporary free-standing rock fall barrier to allow traffic to flow while they work on a permanent solution.

PennDOT officials say they expect the project to take around eight to 10 weeks to complete.
