NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TAKE NOTICE that the Pocono Township Zoning Hearing Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 5:00 P.M., at the Pocono Township Municipal Building, 112 Township Drive, Tannersville, Pennsylvania 18372. The purpose of the hearing is to consider the application of Donald Beaty for a variance from § 470-17(C)(1) and Attachment 2 (R-1 District Lot, Yard and Height Requirements) of the Pocono Township Zoning Ordinance, which require a 50-foot front yard depth for properties in the Low Density Residential (R-1) district. Applicant wants to construct a porch with canopy on the front and side of his existing residence, which is located within the required 50-foot front yard. Donald L. Beaty and Norma J. Beaty, his wife, are the owners of record of the subject property, which is located at 127 Crescent Lake Road, Scotrun, Pennsylvania 18355, in the R-1 district. The property is also identified as Parcel ID No. 12.16.1.8 and Map No. 12-6354-03-41-2317. The complete application is available for inspection (without charge) or copying (for actual copying costs) at the Township’s office at the address listed above from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Anyone may attend the hearing and those who are affected and have legal standing may participate in the proceedings.
