PUBLIC NOTICE A sewage facilities planning module application has been prepared for Brookdale Enterprises LLC for a proposed project located at 2436 Back Mountain Road (PIN 12.11.1.32-4), on Lot 2, a 31.6-acre parcel in Pocono Township, PA. The sewage planning application was prepared as required by the PA Department of Environmental Protection. Sewage flows from Lot 2 will be conveyed to the existing wastewater treatment plant located on Lot 1, owned and operated by Brookdale Enterprises LLC. Brookdale Enterprises LLC is proposing a spa facility with employee housing building. It is anticipated that 18,550 gpd (46 edu's) of sewage flow will be required for the spa facility and employee housing building. Currently 2,717 gpd (7 edu's) of sewage capacity are allocated to Lot 2. Sewage will be conveyed via a grinder pump and lateral to the wastewater treatment plant. The existing wastewater treatment plant is permitted for a capacity of 50,000 gpd. Brookdale Enterprises LLC proposes to reallocate edu's for Lot 1 (Brookdale Premier Addiction Recovery Facility) based on actual sewage flows. It is proposed that Lot 1 will be allocated 10,000 gpd (25 edu's), Lot 2 18,550 gpd (46 edu's). The edu's for Lot 3 (25 edu's) and the single family residence (1 edu) will remain the same. The remainder of the available capacity will be reserved for future sewer needs. As per 25 PA Code, subsection 71.5 3(d) (6) this Public Notice is required because the sewage facilities discharge into high quality or exceptional value waters. A 30-day public comment period, starting on the date of this publication has been established to allow the public to comment on the sewage planning modules. The public may view the application at the Pocono Township Municipal Building 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. A copy of the written comments received and the response to each written comment will be included in the final report.
