NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE MONROE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ON BEHALF OF THE EAST STROUDSBURG BOROUGH COUNCIL FOR A BUDGET MODIFICATION TO THE COUNTY’S FFY 2022 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM Notice is hereby given that the Monroe County Commissioners, on behalf of the East Stroudsburg Borough Council, will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 9:30A.M. at the Administrative Center, 1 Quaker Pla-za, Stroudsburg, PA 18360 to obtain citizen input and com-ment on the 2022 CDBG pro-gram. Subsequent to the May 1, 2024 public hearing, the Monroe County Commissioners will consider adoption of a Resolution authorizing the County to submit said modification documentation to the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development for approval on behalf of East Stroudsburg Borough. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive citizens’ views, comments and sug-gestions or other information from the public, for consideration by the Monroe County Commissioners on behalf of the East Stroudsburg Bo-rough Council, prior to modifying the 2022 Borough’s CDBG Program budget. Ad-ditionally, citizens may also comment on the Borough’s prior use of CDBG funds. One hundred (100%) percent of the 2022 funds will be used to benefit low- and moderate-income persons. The purpose of the modification for the 2022 budget in-volves the deletion of the single-family housing rehabilitation program, in the amount of $141,859 and to the creation of Street Improvements project in the amount of $141,859. The public is encouraged to attend and participate in the hearing and meeting. Written and oral comments are encouraged and can be di-rected to Martha A. Robbins, Executive Director, Redevelopment Authority of the County of Monroe, 701 Main Street, Suite 502, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. All com-ments regarding the modification and the Borough’s prior use of CDBG funds must be received by Tuesday, April 30, 2024. Pursuant to approval by the East Stroudsburg Borough Council and the Monroe County Commissioners on behalf of the East Stroudsburg Council and after consideration of all comments received by the public, the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Monroe, will submit said budget modification documentation to the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (PA-DCED) for re-view.
