Public Notice Sealed bids will be publicly opened and read by the Board of Supervisors of Stroud Township at its regular meeting scheduled to be held at the Stroud Township Municipal Center, 1211 North Fifth Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360, on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 7 PM, to consider proposals for the purchase of the following, to wit: 24-Hour Access, Card Lock, Vehicle Fueling Service, for 18,000 gallons, more or less, Highway Diesel Fuel, and 4,000 gallons, more or less, 87 Octane Unleaded Gasoline. Bidders shall express bids as price per gallon for each product. Fueling stations shall be located within a three (3) mile radius of the Township Municipal Center. The successful bidder shall provide at no charge a minimum of one (1) fuel access card for each specified Township vehicle. Billing statements shall be furnished monthly. Statements shall include totals of each product used per vehicle per billing period. Fuel pumps shall be accessible 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. All bids must be received by the Township Manager by 2 PM, prevailing time, on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. All bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked “FUEL BID”. All bids shall be accompanied by a proposal security in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total bid, in the form of a certified check, bank cashier’s check, or satisfactory bid bond, naming as payee the Township of Stroud. No bid or proposal may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date above specified for receiving, opening, and reading of bids. It is understood the prices quoted are subject to increase or decrease only by the same amount as any increase or decrease in the posted tank car price for Monroe County, PA. Such increase or decrease shall be noted on each monthly statement. All State and Federal taxes are to be excluded in the quotations. The Stroud Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals deemed to be in the best interest of the Township, and to waive any defects or irregularities in the proposals.
