NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TAKE NOTICE that the Stroud Township Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing at the Stroud Township Municipal Center, 1211 N. 5th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360, on Monday, April 29, 2024, beginning at 3:00 P.M. The purpose of the hearing is to consider the application of Daniel and Erin Henry for an exemption from the 100’ well isolation distance required by 25 Pa. Code § 73.13. The Henrys proposes to decommission an existing on-site cesspool and construct an on-site wastewater management system within 100’ of their own well. Section 72.33 authorizes local agencies to grant well isolation distance exemptions under certain circumstances. The Henrys own the subject property, which is located at 207 Well House Road, in Stroud Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania. The property is further identified as Parcel ID No. 17.8.2.33-1 and Map No. 17-7209-00-45-9023. The hearing will be conducted in accordance with Pennsylvania’s Local Agency Law, 2 Pa. C.S.A. §§ 551-555 and Stroud Township Code of Ordinances, Chapter 18, Part 3 (Individual Sewage Disposal Systems). Anyone may inspect the complete application (without charge) or obtain a copy of it (for a charge not exceeding actual copying costs) at the Township’s office at the address listed above during regular business hours.
