NOTICE NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Board of Commissioners of the Township of Pocono, in Monroe County, Pennsylvania (the “Township”), proposes to enact, at a public meeting to be held not less than three (3) days nor more than thirty (30) days following the date of publication of this notice, an ordinance (the “Ordinance”), the caption and summary of such proposed Ordinance being as follows: “ORDINANCE NO. 2024-03 OF THE TOWNSHIP OF POCONO AUTHORIZING AND SECURING THE ISSUANCE OF A GENERAL OBLIGATION NOTE IN THE MAXIMUM PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF $5,175,000, PURSUANT TO THE PENNSYLVANIA LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT DEBT ACT, TO PUCHASE AND RENOVATE A BUILDING TO BECOME THE TOWNSHIP’S MUNICIPAL COMPLEX, AND TO PURCHASE PROPERTY FOR RECREATIONAL OPEN SPACE; ACCEPTING A BANK LOAN PROPOSAL; SETTING FORTH THE TERMS AND SUBSTANTIAL FORM OF THE NOTE; PLEDGING THE FULL FAITH, CREDIT AND TAXING POWER OF THE TOWNSHIP TO SECURE THE NOTE; APPOINTING A SINKING FUND DEPOSITARY; AND AUTHORIZING RELATED ACTIONS AND DOCUMENTS.”. The proposed Ordinance is available for public inspection at the Pocono Township Municipal Building located at 112 Township Drive, Tannersville, Pennsylvania, on any open business day of the Township between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM. Amendments may be made to the Ordinance prior to its final enactment. An advertisement describing the final enactment of the Ordinance, including a summary of any amendments, will be made in accordance with the Pennsylvania Local Government Unit Debt Act.
