PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors of Greene Township, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, intends to consider for adoption and to vote upon enactment of an Ordinance entitled and summarized hereinafter at its regularly scheduled meeting to be held on April 8, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., at the Greene Township Municipal Building. The title of the proposed Ordinance is: AN ORDINANCE OF GREENE TOWNSHIP, FRANKLIN COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING CHAPTER 105 – “ZONING” OF THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF GREENE TO ADD A NEW SECTION 105-37.2, ENTITLED “CHICKENS AND DUCKS” TO CREATE REGULATIONS PERTAINING TO THE NONCOMMERCIAL KEEPING OF CHICKENS AND DUCKS. A summary of the proposed Ordinance is as follows: Amending Chapter 105 – “Zoning,” Article V – “Supplementary Regulations,” by adding a new Section 105-37.2 to establish requirements for the noncommercial keeping of chickens and ducks as an accessory residential use. All other aspects of the Code of the Township of Greene are to remain the same, provisions of the Ordinance are severable, and certain ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with this Ordinance are repealed. The full text of the proposed Ordinance may be examined at the Greene Township Municipal Building, 1145 Garver Lane, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania 17202, during regular business hours. Additionally, a copy of the proposed Ordinance has been filed with the newspaper publishing this notice.
