LEGAL AD Pursuant to the Noncoal Sur-face Mining Conservation and Reclamation Act, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Rules, and the Clean Streams Law notice is here-by given that Pocono Industries, Inc., 506 Hickory Valley Road, Stroudsburg, PA 18360 has made application to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection to renew it’s “Individual NPDES Permit Associated with Mining Activities” per-mit Number PA022594, at their Pocono Industries Ope-ration, SMP 6574SM1. The permit area totals 42.4 acres and is situated just south of SR 209 and just east of Hickory Valley Road, in Hamilton Township, Monroe County. The receiving stream for this permit area is McMichael Creek, HQ, and can be lo-cated by measuring 17.1 inches north and 0.75 inches west from the bottom right hand corner of the Saylorsburg, PA 7.5 minute quadrangle map. The Saylorsburg Pa., U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute topographic map contains the area described. A copy of the application is available for public inspection at the Monroe County Conservation District, 8050 Running Valley Road, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. Written comments, objections, or a request for public hearing or informal conference may be submitted to the Department of Environmental Pro-tection, Pottsville District Mining Office, 5 West Laurel Boulevard, Pottsville, PA 17901 by April 29, 2024 and must include the person’s name, address, telephone number, and a brief statement as to the nature of the objection(s).
