NOTICE TO BIDDERS SEALED PROPOSALS will be accepted by the Tobyhanna Township Board of Supervisors until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at the Tobyhanna Township Municipal Building, 105 Government Center Way, Pocono Pines, Pennsylvania, 18350 for the following: The 2025 Road Paving Base Bid Proposal for paving various roads located within Tobyhanna Township, Monroe County will generally consist of the following, including other incidental items: • 1,786 Tons of 9.5MM Superpave Asphalt, 180 lb/sy Wearing Course • 1,943 Tons of 9.5MM Superpave Asphalt, 120 lb/sy Scratch Course • 542 Tons of PennDOT 2A Stone Shoulders • 5,890 LF of 4” Double Yellow Center Lines with Glass Beads • 17,562 LF of 4” Single White Lines with Glass Beads • 5,374 LF of 4” Single Yellow Lines with Glass Beads • 4,900 LF of 6” Single Broken Lane Lines with Glass Beads • 3,250 SY of Flexible Pavement Base Replacement (8” Depth) includes Milling & Transport), • 3,812 SY of Flexible Pavement Base Replacement (4” Depth) includes Milling & Transport), • 19,840 SY of Surface Course (2” Depth) includes Milling & Transport), and • Kalahari Boulevard Pavement Markings (Various Symbols and Legends). All materials must meet current PennDOT Publication 408 Specifications and Standards. Bidders must be PennDOT prequalified and must supply proof of prequalification. Proposals must be on forms provided by the Township. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total bid made payable to Tobyhanna Township. The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price (each) within 10 days of the award of the contract. All bids will be opened publicly and read aloud at approximately 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at the Tobyhanna Township Municipal Building, 105 Government Center Road, Pocono Pines, Pennsylvania, 18350. It is anticipated that the contract will be awarded at the Tobyhanna Township Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 6:15 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows. The Tobyhanna Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and/or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interest of the Township.
