East Stroudsburg University’s Provost’s Colloquium Series, an intellectual experience that promotes dialogue among ESU faculty, staff, students, and community, opens the Spring 2024 semester with a presentation by Daisy Wang, Ph.D., associate professor, business management and Patsie Varkados, Ed.D. assistant professor, art + media + design, “Cohabitate with AI: Enhancing Higher Education for All”, will take place on Wednesday, February 7, at 5:30 p.m. in Beers Lecture Hall. The presentation will also be live streamed on the ESU Live Events webpage.
During this presentation Dr. Wang and Dr. Varkados will have an interactive demonstration during which the audience will gain insights into the latest AI developments in higher education and discover how AI impacts local communities, workforce readiness, and lifelong learning. The presenters will demonstrate how AI enhances curriculum development, personalized teaching, and research and explore AI’s role in personalized learning, career guidance, and administrative efficiency. In addition, they will discuss ethical considerations surrounding AI integration in education.
The presentation will cater to a diverse audience with tailored content and interactive elements incorporated make the topic relatable and relevant. There will be demonstrations, panel discussions, and Q&A sessions to provide opportunities for participants to interact with AI applications and experts.
It is suggested audience members bring a laptop or smart device to work on projects throughout the presentation.
