The Monroe County Office of the District Attorney requests proposals to hire a Community Partnership for Gun Safety Coordinator to oversee the progress of the program goals, objectives, and activities for the Community Partnership for Gun Safety Initiative, awarded by the PA Commission on Crime and Delinquency.
Electronic Submissions:
Submit proposals to Kwanza Smith, Grants Manager, via email to ksmith@monroecountypa.gov with the subject line "CPGS Coordinator" no later than 3:30 PM EST on August 27, 2024. All files should be submitted as a PDF. Proposals must be returned in the format described in the Request for Funding Proposal (RFP) packet to the Monroe County Fiscal Affairs Office by the above date. Applications will only be accepted if an individual submits a proposal by the deadline with no exceptions.
The purpose of the Community Partnership for Gun Safety is to continue the mission of the Community Partnership for Gun Safety Plan, which is to save lives and reduce the harm caused by firearms and gun violence in our community through advocacy and partnerships that provide education, support, and resources. Utilizing the funding, we will track outreach and advocacy efforts to the community through various media outlets and assess youth and their attitudes towards firearms through a survey and focus groups. The steps outlined in the RFP will assist in reaching our goals outlined in the 2024 Monroe County Community Partnership for Gun Safety Strategic Plan.
