STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Perkins Restaurant & Bakery location in Stroudsburg will permanently close next week due to the Interstate 80 expansion, officials stated.
Perkins Restaurant & Bakery (Perkins American Food Co.) in Stroudsburg will close its doors on December 2.
Ryan Troup, Perkins Vice President of Human Resources stated the decision to close comes as a result of the continued Interstate 80 expansion project.
WoodBridge acquisition of Commonwealth Health terminatedThe I-80 Reconstruction Project includes 3.5 miles of full roadway reconstruction, widening, and interchange reconfiguration. PennDOT says the project serves as a gateway to the Pocono resort areas and the Delaware Water Gap National Recreational Area.

Perkins will be open through December 1 and Troup said the closure does not pertain to any other Perkins locations.
