New Jersey murder suspect arrested in Effort

EFFORT, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man was located and arrested in Effort for a homicide in New Jersey.

On Thursday, September 5, Damian Bass, 19, was arrested on homicide charges for an incident that happened in August in New Jersey.

According to the release, it took numerous attempts to locate Bass until the U.S. Marshals Service was requested to assist in Bass's apprehension.

Bass was found in Effort, a section of Chestnuthill Township.

The U.S. Marshals Service said Bass was arraigned in Monroe County and is awaiting extradition back to Monmouth County, New Jersey.
