Mother of Notorious B.I.G. dies in hospice care in the Poconos

STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Voletta Wallace, mother famed rapper Christopher Wallace, also known as Notorious B.I.G. passed away while in hospice care in the Poconos Friday morning.

Monroe County Coroner Thomas Yanac says the mother of late rapper Notorious B.I.G. has died in Stroudsburg.

Yanac confirmed the death of 78-year-old Voletta Wallace. Wallace was the mother of Christopher George Latore Wallace, also known as The Notorious B.I.G.

Voletta died in hospice care at her residence in Stroudsburg. The coroner said Voletta died of natural causes.
