EAST STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Monroe County Habitat for Humanity is contributing to the hurricane relief efforts.

The executive director of Habitat International says they are working to assess the damage in the communities impacted by the hurricanes to know where to focus their teams in order to support the recovery process.

The East Stroudsburg location announced on Thursday they are giving a $500 contribution to the relief efforts.

"We as an organization help people out that needed a hand up but now some of our affiliates need help and we consider life as a team sport, so we really like to help out others, even though it's outside Monroe County, we felt we had that responsibility," Monroe County Habitat For Humanity Executive Director Scott Fabian stated.
