U.S. Attorney Karam said during the spring of 2023 Wilcox sold cocaine and fentanyl during a controlled purchase conducted by law enforcement. During some of the purchases Wilcox had a handgun, Attorney Karam notes.

Officials state a search warrant was conducted on Wilcox's residence resulting in two firearms, and 6.5 grams of fentanyl, which is 3,250 doses of potentially fatal fentanyl.
