EAST STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man is facing charges after police say he forced a car off the road, causing the driver to crash and sustain serious injuries.
In June 2024, officers were dispatched to a crash with serious injuries in the area of East Broad/ Exchange Streets in East Stroudsburg.
On the scene officers said a car struck a tree after the driver was run off of the road by a man driving a large white pickup truck. The driver was taken to the hospital for her injuries.
The pickup truck driver returned to the scene of the crash on foot and was identified as David Nosti. Police say Notsi stated he was driving on East Broad Street when the car tried to pass him on the left, lost control, and struck a tree.
Nosti said his 6-year-old was in the truck with him and went home to drop him off.
Scranton man charged with indecent assault of childAfter investigators obtained surveillance video of the crash they saw the victim trying to pass Nosti, but he swerved into the oncoming lane at a high speed trying to prevent the victim from passing him, forcing the car off the roadway and causing the crash.
Nosti has been charged with aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child, aggravated assault by vehicle, recklessly endangering another person, careless driving resulting in serious bodily injury, and other related offenses.
Nosti was arraigned and his bail was set at $25,000 unsecured.
