COOLBAUGH TWP., MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man is facing charges after police said he broke into, flooded, and destroyed an Airbnb in Monroe County.
According to the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department, on February 8, around 10:00 a.m., officers responded to the 6000 block of Boardwalk Drive for a man who broke into a residence.
Police said they learned the suspect, Daniel Celban, 33, of New York, was arrested early the night before for open lewdness and trespassed from the property after his Airbnb contract was canceled.
Drugs, ‘ghost guns’ seized after dispute outside homeInvestigators reported that Celban went back to the property in the morning and forced his way into the home by breaking the window and climbing in.
Officers said they arrested Celban and they discovered that the home was destroyed and the water was running causing the house to flood.
Celban has been charged with burglary, trespassing, and resisting arrest.
