Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

Season 4, Episode 23 - We have shared before the efforts to develop trails along the Lackawaxen River (www.lackawaxenrivertrails.org) in Wayne and Pike counties and now, that is a reality. A third public access has been created, this time in a magnificent way in Honesdale taking a rundown, condemned property and transforming it into a river park and access for all abilities. Sycamore Point Park is being finished as we speak with a restroom, picnic tables, ADA parking and more plus that river boat launch where paddlers can put in then take out down river in White Mills or Hawley.

The Poconos is a year-round destination for millions and with 2,400 square miles of mountains, forests, lakes and rivers with historic downtowns and iconic family resorts, it’s the perfect getaway for a weekend or an entire week.
