Inmate charged with smuggling meth into prison

HAMILTON TWP., MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Investigators say an inmate at the Monroe County Correctional Facility tried to smuggle in meth.

According to the District Attorney's Office, on May 2 Kenneth Macelak Jr., 40, was brought into the Monroe County Correctional Facility. While being processed, correctional officers found methamphetamine hidden on Macelak's body, police stated.

Pa. inmate death under investigation

The Monroe County District Attorney’s office filed charges against Macelak after an investigation was completed.

Macelak was charged with possession of a controlled substance, contraband by an inmate, and other related offenses.
