The Pocono Township Police Department is investigating a residential structure fire that occurred on January 7th, 2024, at approximately 2255 hours. The incident occurred at 123 Archer Lane in Tannersville, in which two (2) residents escaped without injury, one (1) resident was transported to St. Lukes hospital for injuries relating to smoke inhalation, and one (1) residence, a 79-year-old male was found deceased at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing and is being led by the Pocono Township Police Department, with the assistance of the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshals, and the Monroe County Coroner’s Office. At this time, the cause of the fire has not been determined.
