On January 14th, at approximately 12:15am, an officer with The Pocono Township Police Department attempted to stop a white Subaru for traffic violations in the area of Route 611 and Great Wolf Lodge in Scotrun. The driver of the Subaru failed to stop, fled onto Route 80 eastbound at a high rate of speed, and deactivated his headlights in an attempt to avoid detection. The officer pursued the driver for several miles before losing sight of the vehicle in the area of Bartonsville.
A few minutes later, a Trooper with The Pennsylvania State Police located the vehicle on Route 33 south near Snydersville with a flat tire. The Pocono Township officer responded and took Rasheem Mcfall, a 20 year old male from Coplay PA, into custody. A subsequent investigation revealed narcotics in Mcfall's vehicle.
Mcfall was charged with Felony Fleeing and Eluding, Misdemeanors Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Possession of a controlled substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, as well as several summary traffic violations.
Mcfall was placed in The Monroe County Correctional Facility to await arraignment. Special thanks to The Pennsylvania State Police for their assistance!
