Elevated risk for wildfire spread in NEPA

(WBRE/WYOU) — Due to dry and windy conditions, there is an elevated risk of wildfire spread in northeastern Pennsylvania.

The following counties have an elevated risk of wildfire spread on March 11:

  • Lehigh
  • Luzerne
  • Lycoming
  • Monroe
  • Montour
  • Northumberland
  • Pike
  • Schuylkill
  • Snyder
  • Sullivan
  • Susquehanna
  • Union
  • Wayne
  • Wyoming

Outdoor open burning is not recommended. There will be gusty winds and low relative humidity.
